Man faces production, possesion charges

AN Ipswich man will face court today following a drug raid on a house at Deebing Heights.

Police allegedly seized a substantial amount of amphetamines and equipment used to make the drugs after executing a warrant at an address on South Deebing Creek Road on Monday afternoon.

The 42-year-old man was charged with production of amphetamines in addition to possession of the drug and laboratory equipment.

He also faces a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of a substance or thing used in connection with a crime.

He was held in custody overnight to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court Wednesday morning.
