LATEST: A 33-year old man died on Tuesday when his car collided with a truck at Haigslea.

The man died at the scene of the accident that occurred around 1.30pm on the Haigslea Malabar Rd.

The 52-year-old driver of the truck, on his way to do some deliveries for his work, was not injured but was suffering shock after the accident.

The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions on an innocuous stretch of road when the crash occurred.

The dead man was driving a silver Lancer.

Haigslea Malabar Rd was closed for several hours after the accident.

Marburg police were the initial investigators on the scene and the Forensic Crash Unit from the Ipswich police district at Yamanto was last night investigating.
