Man charged over armed robbery

A REDBANK Plains man is one of two charged over an armed robbery at a Brisbane convenience store.

Police said two men entered the store on Logan Road, Greenslopes, just before 1.30am Friday morning, armed with a knife.

They threatened an employee and demanded cash, before fleeing with an undisclosed sum of money.

The victim alerted police who were on patrol in the area and the officers intercepted one of the men a short time later.

The second was arrested later Friday morning.

A 21-year-old Redbank Plains man and a 19-year-old Logan man are due to appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on one count each of armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
