Man charged over bungled robbery of medical centre

A MAN allegedly armed with a knife has been arrested in Deception Bay during a bungled armed robbery.

On Monday afternoon, the man went into a medical centre on Zammit St and began making threats and demands.

Police soon arrived and arrested the man.

Nobody was physically injured in the incident.

A 39-year-old Deception Bay man has been charged with one count each of attempted armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, going armed so as to cause fear, and possession of a knife in a public place.

He is due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on October 18.
