Man charged with attempted murder

POLICE have arrested and charged a 58-year-old Laidley man after investigating the alleged attempted murder of two other men at a Mutdapilly Dip Road property.

About 9.30am it is alleged that a man drove a vehicle towing a horse float with a horse inside in the direction of two men who allegedly had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.

The 58-year-old has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, five of wilful damage, animal cruelty and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
