Victim suffered punctured lung, broken ribs during attack

A MAN charged with attempted murder after allegedly bashing a woman so severely she required hospitalisation has had his matter mentioned in court.

Harley George Williams, 32, was charged on January 29, 2016 with attempted murder, deprivation of liberty, torture and grievous bodily harm.

It is alleged Mr Williams carried out a sustained attack that resulted in the much smaller victim suffering a punctured lung, broken ribs and other injuries.

The matter was adjourned until April 27.
