Man airlifted to hospital after dislocating his hip
A MAN aged in his 70s suffering from a hip injury has been airlifted to hospital from Middle Island near Agnes Water.
It is understood the man was fishing on the side of a river bank with a group of friends when he fell and dislocated his hip.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ Care Flight helicopter arrived on scene to help the man shortly before 10am.
Due to the remote location, the helicopter rescue crew were the first to reach the patient.
The helicopter landed on the shoreline nearby the injured man where the CareFlight clinical team was able to treat the man onsite.
He was then flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
