Man airlifted after horse falls on him in Kilcoy

A MAN in his 40s has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue with suspected pelvic injuries after his horse fell, repeatedly rolling on him.

The man was riding on a property at Kilcoy when the horse slipped and fell down an embankment.

Both rider and horse rolled down the slope.

The Gold Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue team was tasked to attend the incident just after nine this morning.

The patient was treated and transferred to the Kilcoy Showground by Queensland Ambulance, and then airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight team to a Brisbane hospital in a stable condition.

The horse is uninjured.
