Man airlifted after Boonah crash

A 39-YEAR-OLD man with suspected back injuries was airlifted by the RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter after a serious crash at Boonah.

RACQ CareFlight air crewman Luke Pagano said the crew airlifted the man after the two vehicle crash on Boonah-Rathdowney Rd about 12.20pm today.

"The 39-year-old male patient has sustained a shoulder injury, a chest injury and suspected spinal injuries," Mr Pagano said.

"We placed the patient on a spinal board and prepared him for flight.

"He was airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital for further tests to determine the seriousness of his spinal injury and receive treatment for his other injuries. The man was in a stable condition throughout the airlift."

Police said the car the injured man was in overturned and he was still inside when emergency crews arrived.
The crash is being investigated.
