Alleged KFC assault: Man, 32, charged with murder

- A 32 year-old man has been charged with murder after an alleged assault at Morayfield KFC about 7.30pm on Wednesday night
- A 50 year-old man died in hospital - allegedly as a result of injuries sustained during the incident.
- The assault allegedly continued even after the 50 year-old man was on the ground.
- The 32 year-old man appeared dazed in the dock at Caboolture Magistrates Court on Thursday.
LATEST: A man charged after an assault at Morayfield has had his charges upgraded to murder after his alleged victim died.
Around 7.30pm on Wednesday night, it will be alleged that a 50-year-old man was assaulted by another man on Morayfield Road outside the Kentucky Fried Chicken fast food outlet.
The man was taken to hospital where he passed away on Thursday afternoon.
A 32-year-old man was previously charged with grievous bodily harm and this charge has been upgraded to murder.
He is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 3.
A man that sustained serious injuries following an assault in Morayfield last night has died.
It will be alleged that about 7.30pm a 50-year-old man was assaulted by another man near a fast food restaurant on Morayfield Road.
He was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He passed away around 3pm.
Earlier, a 32-year-old man was charged with grievous bodily harm and appeared in the Caboolture Magistrates Court.
Police will continue to investigate this matter.
A 32-YEAR-OLD man has been remanded in custody on a charge of grievous bodily harm after allegedly punching a 50-year-old man in Morayfield overnight.
The incident occurred in the carpark of Kentucky Fried Chicken on Morayfield Road about 7.30pm.
Conrad Joseph Carter appeared dazed in the dock at the Caboolture Magistrates Court this morning while his solicitor requested an adjournment to allow time for a full brief and to obtain CCTV footage.
Mr. Carter will face Caboolture Magistrates court on August 4. His solicitor declined to provide media comment.
A 50-YEAR-OLD man was last night fighting for life after being assaulted at a Morayfield's Kentucky Fried Chicken store.
Police said that at around 7.30pm, a disturbance ensued at the fast food restaurant on Morayfield Road.
During the altercation, the 50-year-old man was allegedly punched by a second man, which caused him to fall to the ground unconscious.
The assault reportedly happened in the carpark outside the store.
While on the ground, the unconscious man was assaulted further, police said.
Paramedics treated the man who reportedly had a heart attack. They spent some time reviving him.
The victim of the attack was rushed to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.
A 32-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
