Maldives beckons for family

THE Maldives are calling for the Stojko family of Yamba, who are already counting down the days until their big family holiday in July.

It will be the first time five-year-old Olivia and seven-year-old Bryce visit the Maldives, a small island nation situated in the Indian Ocean south west of the Indian continent.

Bryce is already imagining spending time in the spa, between bouts of surfing, while Olivia can't wait to explore and join in all the fun of the kid's club.

"We'll be spending seven nights and taking the whole family for the first time," Wes Stojko said.

Mr Stojko grew up in Yamba, surfing and hanging out on the beaches.

Now with a young family of his own, he reckons Yamba is still a great place for raising kids.

The family make the most of what's on offer in the area, visiting their favourite beach Spooky's as often as they can where Bryce and Olivia are learning to surf.

On other days, the family love getting out on the river in their speedboat, packing a picnic, swimming and discovering the hidden treasures of the river.

The family have owned and operated Eagle Boys Pizza in Yamba for the past four years.
