Little praise for former minister after a year-long saga
OPPOSITION Leader Lawrence Springborg said the way Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk handled the Jo-Ann Miller saga was appalling.
He said she could not even act decisively when the year-long saga came to a head this week.
"She continued to let this bleeding sore go on for at least another six months," he said.
"It was Jo-Ann Miller herself who put the government out of its misery but that will be short lived."
Premier Palaszczuk did not face the media yesterday.
The Rural Fire Brigades Association of Queensland issued a statement praising Ms Miller following her resignation.
The statement said Ms Miller was instrumental in introducing legislation that provided equal and fair cancer coverage for all fire fighters.
"The RFBAQ wishes Jo-Ann Miller the best for her future endeavours and trust the Bundamba MP will continue to actively support and promote the Rural Fire Brigades within her electorate," the statement said.
