Lights on Hill require illumination
THE Lights on the Hill trucking memorial is calling for public assistance.
The group, dedicated to remembering truck drivers who have lost their lives on the road, has found it is missing vital information for its yearly update of its memorial wall.
The group underwent a major change of leadership at the end of last year. Since then, the new leadership committee has successfully run the annual convoy.
However, in preparation for the Memorial Day on Saturday, October 13, they discovered vital information was missing regarding the recently erected plaques.
A statement from the group said organisers were calling for community input to help them recognise members of the trucking community recently added to the wall.
"While celebrating and remembering the lives of those whose names appear on the memorial wall, the annual service at the Lights on the Hill's memorial in Apex Park at Gatton has traditionally been the time to unveil the name plaques for those who have been added to the wall in the previous 12 months," it said.
"But it is the details and records of those new names that are missing."
The Lights on the Hill committee is calling for help from the community.
