Teen has licence suspended

A MAN has been banned from driving for six months after calling police to tell them his licence was suspended.

The honest 19-year-old was caught driving on December 9 after his licence was suspended due to the accumulation of demerit points on November 1.

Ipswich Magistrates Court heard Todd Anthony Stevenson initially denied any knowledge of the suspension but later called police to tell them he knew he was not meant to drive.

Stevenson pleaded guilty to driving while demerit point suspended and was fined $250.

His licence was disqualified for six months.
