LETTERS: Council forgets the old

AS you go driving around Ipswich you will see plenty of development happened all over the place.

New subdivisions, great wide streets and lots of houses getting either built or renovated.

After you do that go for a drive through the old parts of Ipswich Central and look at the shocking state of the streets.

Most have no kerb and guttering and the condition of the footpath depends on how well the home owner mows it.

Obviously some have to be gently reminded.

Council says they are doing this bit by bit, but I won't live long enough to see it completed. Instead of spending millions on new council chambers, how about fixing up what really matters first.
