LETTER: Some advice to make next year better than 2016

TO ALL the staff at the QT, to all the readers, to all the ambos, firies, Police, SES, nurses, doctors and surgeons.

Thanks for saving and helping many lives this year.

To everyone in Ipswich;

I want to take this moment to wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas and a happy new year. Please stay safe on the roads.

Don't text and drive. Don't drink and drive.

I'd also like to say a huge thank-you to everyone that has put up Christmas lights this year! You truly do keep the Christmas spirit going.

Massive thanks to Nova Crt, Flinders View, Irviness St, Flinders View and Hillier Crt, Yamanto for all your beautiful lights.

It's a lot of effort to get that many lights up. You've all done such an amazing job and you should all be so proud of yourselves.

This Christmas appreciate the little things rather then the bigger things.

Remember the true meaning of Christmas too.

One bit of advice for 2017.

People need to stop judging others, especially if they have heard something from one person that they don't even know if it's true or not.

They need to get there facts straight before going and spreading it. If people were more caring and loving then we would live in such a brighter world.

NATALIE FRANKLIN
