LETTER: Be careful if you buy groceries online
I AM writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction at the way Woolworths handled our home delivery.
Woolworths have been trying to get customers to go online and do their shopping, so my wife and I decided to give it a try.
After buying all our groceries I went to checkout and saw a time of delivery between 5-8am.
We were not happy with this time and I tried to change it to between 3-7pm. It would not let me.
I rang our Booval Woolworths store. I was told they do not do this and do not deliver groceries. I was also told to ring Riverlink store.
I was told once more that they do not deliver and to try Yamanto. I rang Yamanto to be told that I would have to call Customer Service. I did this and was told that the nearest store to our home was Springfield.
I finally got a time of delivery and was told that our groceries would be delivered between 4-7pm on Friday.
I asked if I would have to pay the $11 delivery charge and was told I would not.
After three-and-a-half hours my wife finally got our Christmas shopping done.
We do not own a car and my wife is getting over a bad fall at home where I have to be with her 24/7. So a warning to all be careful when you order your groceries online.
