LETTER: Ambulance crews need to feel safe

I WOULD like to thank the paramedics that attended me in the ambulance and took me through to Ipswich Hospital.

I needed their help and along with the hospital staff I received great care. Fortunately I am feeling much better at the moment.

My concern following discussions with them is now for the safety of the ambulance crew as I understand they are now only crewed by a maximum of two people.

With the increasing number of assaults on them I believe from 8pm to 8am, especially on weekends, this number needs to be increased to three for safety reasons.
