Lambie: Secret TURC report should be released

A CROSSBENCH senator has rejected claims details in a secret report of the Trade Union Royal Commission posed "grave threats" to the nation.

Senator Jacqui Lambie was one of four crossbenchers allowed access to the report as the Turnbull government looks to secure support to reinstate the Australian Building and Construction Commission.

But after reading the report this week, Sen Lambie called on the government to release a redacted version of the report for all senators to read.

She said Royal Commissioner Justice Dyson Heydon's comments that the information in the report posed a "grave threat to the power and authority of the Australian state" was misleading.

"I didn't find anything like a grave threat to our nation's power or authority," she said.
