Laidley Uniting Church welcomes minister with plans for future

MEMBERS of Laidley's Uniting Church have welcomed their new minister, Reverend Euan McDonald, and his wife Yvonne to the local community.

Mr McDonald spent the past eight years in Mackay before his transfer to Laidley.

"We are so happy to be here and to be given such a warm welcome," he said.

"My wife and I are looking forward to seeing the church grow and to becoming involved with the communities of Laidley and Plainland.

"Some future plans include expanding on the groups already established such as the Mainly Music program aimed at pre-schoolers and their parents

"We also have a Youth Group which meets here every Friday night as well as a Home Group."

Mr McDonald said he

also had plans to initiate several new programs next year

which could include a men's breakfast.
