Kings of Leon tickets up for grabs in Brisbane tomorrow

KINGS of Leon fans will have the chance to win tickets to the band's Sydney Harbour show tomorrow in Brisbane.

The exclusive gig, hosted by Channel V and Triple M, will take place on November 18 and showcase the band's sixth studio album Mechanical Bull, which was released on Friday.

Taking inspiration from the album's name, Channel V is setting up a mechanical bull in Queen Street Mall tomorrow from 11am to 2pm.

Whoever can stay on the bull the longest scores two tickets, flights and accommodation in Sydney. One double pass is up for grabs in each capital city.

The American rock band, comprised of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew, is perhaps best known for their hit song Sex on Fire.

"We're so exciting to be coming back to Australia to play on Sydney Harbour for Channel V," drummer Nathan said.

"We can't wait to see all our fans come out and have some fun with us. We'll drink a beer or two."

It will be the first time the band plays songs from Mechanical Bull live in Australia.

The new album, recorded at the band's studio in Nashville, was produced by long-time Kings of Leon collaborator Angelo Petraglia.
