Jets fans get a free pass to game
RUGBY league fans can leave their wallets at home on Saturday after the Ipswich Jets announced entry would be free for their match against the Easts Tigers.
The Jets are title contenders in the Queensland Cup this year and sponsor Europcar has got behind the team and allowed the city to watch them for free.
Jets chief executive Brad Wolens said he expected more than 1500 people to attend this Saturday’s match.
“We have a long history with the Tigers and we drew our round one match against them, so this promises to be a great game,” Wolens said.
“For Europcar to fund the gate is fantastic for our fans and makes a day at the footy even cheaper.”
The Jets face the Tigers at 2pm on Saturday at North Ipswich Reserve.
