Jessica Chastain criticises her ‘sad’ magazine cover

JESSICA Chastain has responded to criticism over a recent magazine cover that she featured on alongside other well-known actors.

The two-time Oscar nominee posed with Margot Robbie, Kate Winslet, Annette Bening, Diane Kruger and Saoirse Ronan for the LA Times' cover story about how female actors are treated in Hollywood.

But the cover was heavily criticised for featuring only white women.

 

Chastain, who has been outspoken about issues regarding inequality in the past, responded to the criticism in a series of tweets and conceded that the cover was a "sad look".
