Jamie Oliver cuts cooking time in half on his new TV show

HE'S the hip and cheerful face of Ten's summer season so expect to see Jamie Oliver repeatedly on your screen throughout the week.

Ten is pushing out double episodes of his new show, Jamie's 15 Minute Meals, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

In the new series Oliver does what he does best - revealing quick tricks for nutritious family meals.

But the star himself never takes his audience for granted; he hopes Australian families will find something useful for their everyday lives in his new recipes.

"The series was a lot of fun but also hard work because I was filming four or five programs a day. But when the cooking takes only 15 minutes you can film the shows quite quickly," Oliver wrote in an email to Square Eye last week.
