SOFTBALLER Jacob O'Brien continues his impressive rise in the sport.

Jacob was recently named in the under-19 boys state school team and competed at the Interstate Challenge at Blacktown International Softball Stadium.

Jacob represented Met West and Faith Lutheran College to a high standard.

He batted and fielded exceptionally well.

The main positions Jacob played in were first base and pitcher.

He had some the team's highest stats for his batting and fielding averages.

The Queensland team won two out of three games on the first day and finished at number two position prior to the playoffs. Queensland finished third after being unable to make the final.

After playing for the Toowoomba Diamondbacks U17 boys team at the state titles, Jacob is lining up for the Toowoomba Diamondbacks U19 men's team.

That is next month in Hervey Bay for the Queensland under-19 titles.
