Foreign Oz Day paraphernalia is just un-Australian

OPINION: Australia Day is just around the corner!

So I thought I'd go out and get ready for it by purchasing my usual Australia Day paraphernalia - an Australian flag tattoos, false nails in the design of the Australian flag and a little Aussie flag to wave.

Hey - I love Australia Day, I love being Australian!

Loving Australia for me, has also meant checking to see where all of this was made. I got a heck of a shock when I realised, every single item was made overseas!

Hence, nothing was purchased.

TODAY'S TOP STORIES

So far, I have not found any stocked item that is made in Australia.

So far, I have not found an internet site which stocks Australia Day merchandise that is actually made in Australia.

Is it to much to ask that the Day that we celebrate being Australian, actually has products available that are made in Australia??

Should Australia Day paraphernalia have to be made in Australia?
