Ipswich's best chips poll: it's a city divided!

AND the winner is...

In the end, it was just too close to call who has Ipswich's best chips.

The Facebook votes gave it to Brassall Seafood while the online poll gave it to The Chambers Café, so in the end it's a tie for the title.

Everyone has an opinion on a good chip, so it was great to get such a huge amount of feedback from readers on this vital, investigative project.

Thanks for taking part Ipswich!

Here's what some of you said on Facebook:

Paul Rix - "It has to be The Chambers Cafe.

In second place I would have Glebe Rd Takeaway.”

Drive On Training Ipswich - "We like Brassall Takeaway for chips. It's in Pine Mountain Rd Shops Centre.”

Shay King - "Brassall definitely has the best.”

Patricia Carpenter - "The chips from Booval Seafoods are the best in Ipswich.”

Vivien Garman Konwerski - "Chambers cafe at the courthouse.

OMG, yummy!”

Casey Gibson - "Carmen's Takeaway North Booval is absolutely amazing.

Always cooked perfectly and always have the perfect amount of salt on them.”

Samantha Strange - "Tower Central Cafe Ipswich...and their gravy. My mouth is watering just typing about it! Yum!”

Peter Bauer - "Fatseas were the best until they stuffed that up. God knows why they had to change.” Lindsay Canavan - "It's a shame they changed everything.”

Kylie Elizabeth Gibson - "All small business make best chippies.”

Simon Gatt - "Shuan's Takeaway on Glebe Rd. $5 feeds four kids and two adults!”

Rebecca Harkins - "Uncle Bills Takeaway East Ipswich!”
