Ipswich teen finds fame on The Voice

FRESH out of high school, Adam Spain-Mostina is already living out his dream of becoming a famous performer.

The 18 year-old St Edmund's graduate from Eastern Heights is now becoming a well-known name, after featuring on last night's blind auditions on Channel 9's reality television show The Voice.

In front of a couple of hundred people - and not to mention some of the biggest names in the music industry - Adam performed his rendition of Ed Sheeran's song Kiss Me.

Performing on The Voice was a dream come true for the Ipswich resident.

"I was overwhelmed that I actually got to be on the show in the first place and come face to face with all the coaches on the show and with the other contestants," he said.

"Before I went out on the stage, like a couple of hours before hand, I had a lot of nerves.

"You have to wait a very long time before you can head out.

"But once I was backstage and waiting to go on, my nerves just went away."

That was certainly evident when he went out on stage, as he sung his heart out.

Music superstars Ricky Martin and Delta Goodrem both expressed their interest in working with the young star, but in the end, Adam chose to work with Ricky.

By choosing Ricky, he will also work alongside Bellbird Park resident Tim McCallum, who was also successful with his audition.

Both will continue to appear in the series as they work with their celebrity coaches in the hope of taking out the title of The Voice 2015 winner.
