Ipswich team impressive to watch at Chandler

AFTER four gruelling rounds of the Chandler Challenge Team Series, Ipswich Pride placed second overall.

Senior riders Tony Simonelli, John Eder, Ian Snodgrass (reserve) and Rob Fenton were well supported by Ipswich's U19's who rode outstandingly throughout all four rounds.

Young guns Josh Beikoff and Alex Clairs were impressive to watch as they rode with passion and determination to dominate other teams.

Female riders Faye Goodyear and Lauralea Moss rode very strong throughout the series, placing and winning in many of the women's events.

Ipswich Cycling Club president Ian Snodgrass thanked managers Sloan Wilkins, Brad Beikoff, Mick Kilmartin and Leigh Clairs who assisted with holding, setting up, pulling down and mechanicals at each round.

The efforts of Ipswich stalwarts Belinda Beikoff-Bray and Michelle Snodgrass were also appreciated.

They both sit on Cycling Queensland's track committee, organising this series, allowing track riders throughout the region to experience competing in a high quality event.

Next year the event will possible be conducted in Brisbane's new indoor velodrome.
