Ipswich motocyclist hurt in motocross crash

AN IPSWICH man is in a stable condition in hospital after a motocross crash at Boondooma left with him a suspected fractured leg.

The 22-year-year-old is also believed to have other injuries after coming off his bike while riding on Saturday afternoon.

The RACQ Careflight Rescue Helicopter service airlifted him to Toowoomba Base Hospital about 3.30pm on Saturday.

A Careflight spokeswoman said the Ipswich man was the fifth motocross rider airlifted by the team in one day. Other injured riders had to be flown from South Isis and Chinchilla.
