Ipswich drivers the best in Australia

WITH 22 feature race titles between them this season, Ipswich drivers Ardie Jonic and Matt Pascoe are leaving the rest of Australia in their dust.

Jonic (13) and Pascoe (9) rank number one and two for national feature race wins this season, in the Queensland Junior Sedans and Queensland Super Sedans respectively.

Jonic has quite literally shown he has no peer in the Junior Sedans series, most recently defending his Victorian Junior Sedan Title at Darlington Speedway.

It was Jonic's seventh State Title, surpassing Brock Atkins for the most ever in the Junior Sedans format, and his 12th State Title podium finish - also a new record. The Ipswich youngster will look to continue his good form at the Kings Royal in Kingaroy on January 28, before meets in Gympie (Feb 3) and Gatton (Feb 10) leading into the Tasmanian Title at Carrick Speedway on February 24 .

Pascoe meanwhile is already in Tasmania, having just won his second Super Sedans Grand Prix in Latrobe. He first won the prestigious event in 2013.

While not as numerically dominant as Jonic, Pascoe's win rate - eight feature race wins from nine starts - is just as impressive.

He has opened up a significant gap atop the Brims Concrete Super Sedans Series leaderboard.

Pascoe continues his Tasmanian assault in the Solo Grand National in Hobart on January 26-27.
