Ipswich City car yard reopens
EXPECT to see the familiar signs of Llewellyn Motors in the heart of the Ipswich CBD from tomorrow as the dealership gets ready to open its fourth showroom.
The business will open its newest site, which will be entirely dedicated to used cars, in a prime spot that fronts onto Brisbane St, Limestone St and Gordon St today.
Llewellyn Motors used car sales manager Dan Pace said the centre would specialise in 4WDs, SUVs, commercial vehicles and performance cars.
It will also eventually include a new service centre, which is currently under construction.
"It's been in development for a little while," Mr Pace said.
"Our used car business has grown substantially in the past 14-15 months."
"We're going to be employing new people.
"Everything will be sourced locally."
Mr Pace said there were no car dealerships capitalising on the performance car market despite a love of car sports locally.
"We've got Queensland Raceway just down the track," he said.
The new showroom will concentrate on later-model used cars that will all come with Llewellyn's three-year warranty.
"We want people to come here and create a new car experience," Mr Pace said.
He said the new showroom would open on Thursday nights in an event dubbed Cars Under The Stars, making it one of the only dealerships in Queensland to take part in late night shopping.
