Ipswich accidents are mostly on a Friday afternoon

A SUNNY Friday afternoon in August on a good road - these are the conditions for a typical accident in Ipswich.

August, June, November, October and March are the most common months for accidents and 3pm on a Friday is the most common time.

The road conditions will be good.

In the 13 years to 2013, the worst year on our roads was 2009.

Rain and fog might be dangerous driving conditions but in Ipswich you are more likely to have a crash during perfect weather.

There were 8866 accidents on sunny days between 2001 and 2013.

It was raining during 1286 crashes, foggy for 67 smashes and there was dust or smoke in the air during just three crashes.
