Intruders wield baseball bat during home invasion

TWO thieves armed with a baseball bat broke into a Dinmore house, woke a sleeping resident and threatened him before taking his wallet, phone and cigarettes.

Police received a call at 1.55am yesterday reporting the incident and attended the Dinmore address.

According to police a 21-year-old man was asleep in his bedroom when the two men broke into his house.

Police said one of the men was armed with a baseball bat.

The two armed men woke the man and threatened him with violence before taking a number of items from his house.

While inside the house, the pair stole the man's wallet, his phone and cigarettes.

Police are continuing to investigate the home invasion.
