Injured rider airlifted after fall from horse
A WOMAN was airlifted from a property in the Grandchester region with possible spinal injuries after falling from her horse on Monday.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter attended the scene just after 4pm.
The rider, in her 40s, was injured after her horse bucked, pitching her backwards and onto the metal top rail of a nearby fence.
The patient was treated by Queensland Ambulance at the local school oval, before being airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a stable condition.
