'Bash-case' baby still critical

A FIVE-MONTH-OLD girl remains in a critical condition after allegedly being bashed by her father.

The Ipswich girl's grandparents took her to Ipswich Hospital on Saturday and she was later transferred to the paediatric intensive care unit at the Mater Hospital.

She remains in the ward with broken ribs and severe internal injuries.

A 22-year-old Flinders View man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and will appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court in three weeks.

He has been remanded in custody.
