Dog trainer gets bail on string of charges
DISGRACED greyhound trainer Tom Noble has been granted bail after he was charged with intimidating a witness in the live-baiting investigation.
The 68-year-old has been accused of trying to cooerce co-accused trainer Julie Edmondson into altering evidence in court. Before he appeared in the dock at the Supreme Court in Brisbane yesterday, Noble had spent 17 days in custody after the Ipswich Magistrates Court rejected two of his previous bail applications.
This time, he was granted bail on the condition that he not contact any of the witnesses involved in the greyhound live baiting matter, or any of his co-accused.
In addition to the intimidating a witness charge, the Churchable trainer was already facing seven counts of animal cruelty.
He will reappear in court on July 1 along with five co-accused.
