New images compare new Titanic's interior with original's

CLIVE Palmer's Blue Star Line company  has released images showing the proposed interior of the Titanic II.

The shots show interiors closely modelled to the ill-fated original ship, with side-by-side comparisons showing significant similarities between the planned ship and its century-gone namesake.

The images include first, second and third-class cabins, the grand staircase, a pool and Cafe Parisien.

If the Titanic II does ever sail, it'll look back to the design ethos of the original ship with modern cruise staples replaced with amenities like Turkish baths, Edwardian gyms and a relatively tiny swimming pool.

The Titanic II's launch is slated for 2018.
