Hundreds to flock to bird spectacular

THE upcoming Ipswich Festival of Feathers Bird Spectacular be an event worth crossing the road for.

The largest championship bird show in Queensland will be held in the main exhibition hall at the Ipswich Showgrounds this Sunday.

Six local bird clubs have come together to host the annual event, which is growing in popularity every year.

The family day out will include multiple displays and sales, lucky door prizes, raffles, a large cent auction and a variety of birds will also be available to purchase.

Doors will fly open from 8.30am, with the event set to finish at 1.30pm.

Admission costs $3 per person, $5 per couple and children 16 and under enter for free.
