Human remains found in unit after bed smell hits neighbours

HUMAN remains and a man's body have been found in separate locations in the same inner Brisbane suburb overnight.

It is understood officers made the discovery about 9:00pm on Saturday after neighbours reported a bad smell coming from a unit in Teneriffe.

"Police from Fortitude Valley received some information to attend an address at Commercial Road, Teneriffe," Regional Duty Inspector Daniel Bragg said.

Officers then conducted a search of surrounding streets which led to the discovery of a man's body near an industrial rubbish bin in nearby Dath Street.

Forensic experts have been carrying examinations at both crime scenes.
