Hotel crash leads to charges

A 24-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with drink driving after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a hotel near Laidley last night.

Around 11.20pm, a sedan travelling north on Mulgowie Rd, Mulgowie left the road surface and crashed into a front awning and wall of a hotel.

All four occupants of the vehicle sustained minor injuries, though significant damage was caused to the hotel.

No one in the hotel was injured.

The driver, a Malaysian national, allegedly recorded a roadside breath test of 0.107.

He is expected to appear before Gatton Magistrates Court on June 4.
