Hot Holdens get motors running

MORE than 200 original and restored vehicles will proudly be on display at the upcoming Muscle Car Masters Holden Day Car Show in Acacia Ridge next month.

The event will feature a stunning display of early model Holdens, Holden Special Vehicles and race and speciality cars at the car park of “Munchies” in the Elizabeth St Shopping Centre on Saturday, June 5.

All owners who bring down their prized possessions on the day will be vying for a prize in one of the 60 categories which will be open for judging.

The judging will be completed with the help of some very special guests.

V8 Supercar drivers Jonathon Webb, James Courtney, Warren Luff, Nick Percat and Andre Heimgartner will be there on the day to overlook hundreds of cars.

In addition, they will also be taking part in a Q and A session and will be available for autographs and pictures.

Organiser Les Gray described the day as a Holden lover’s dream

“We will have a wide range of vehicles which Holden has made in their 68 years, right from the very old models up to the new ones,” he said.

“I would also like people to know that if they too have a Holden which they would like included in the show, to get in touch with us today as we would love to have your vehicle on display as well.”

The event will start at 8.30am with a gold coin donation. All money raised will go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The event is proudly brought to you by the HSV Owners Club Queensland Inc and sponsored by IGA Acacia Ridge. For more information, log on to www.hsvowners.com.au.
