Hot style tips for Halloween night

ZOMBIES, heroes and villains are the hot pick for this year's most popular Halloween costumes.

Ipswich's Casablanca Costume Hire owner AnnMaree Ling said the Twilight-inspired vampire trend was slowing down with hit TV series The Walking Dead resulting in the rising popularity of zombie outfits.

"We're almost out of the Twilight zone," she joked.

"I think people are looking for something a little different. They want their costumes to stand out.

"The Day of the Dead look is in style and superheroes, villains, ghost-busters and the grim reaper are all popular choices as well.

"People are buying less scary costumes now and are going more for the glamour look."

Ms Ling also said Ipswich was embracing Halloween this year, with people starting their costume shopping as early as September.

"In the last week leading up to Halloween, we are open an extra 20 hours throughout the week and we need extra staff to cater to the demand," she said.

"We have been here eight years and I think Ipswich is really embracing the idea of Halloween.

"We see people coming in looking for an outfit for Halloween parties now and people are buying costumes rather than renting."
