Hot active mums hit the parks

THEY’RE coming to a park near you – hot Ipswich mums getting active with their babies by their sides.

The Hot (Healthy Over Time) Mum’s Stroller Boot Camp has been operating in Ipswich and Springfield Lakes for some time now and due to its popularity, has just started a session at Redbank Plains.

Fitness Instructor Kirsty Lacey said the classes catered specifically for busy mums.

“The classes are ideal for new mums and mums with toddlers, it is a great opportunity for them to get out of the house, get fit and socialise all at the same time,” she said.

She said they do a lot of brisk walking with the strollers, as well as body weight training such as squats, lunges, push ups and boxing.

The new class runs on Tuesdays at Redbank Plains Recreational Reserve at 9.30am. The first class is free and the rest $5, which goes to the Ipswich Hospital Foundation.
