High drama with evidence of dirty tricks in Division 3
HIGH drama has erupted in Division 3 with evidence of a dirty tricks campaign coming to light.
Word from the booths is that Jim Dodrill and Kerry Silver are neck and neck and polling well.
But someone has gone to great lengths to discredit both Mr Dodrill and Ms Silver in the leadup to today's election, the QT has learned.
"Someone was dropping two (attack) sheets out on Thursday - together at the same time, one against Jim Dodrill and one against Kerry Silver," a source told the QT.
"It obviously made no sense that either Silver or Dodrill would drop one against themselves."
The sheet attacking Mr Dodrill was a reprint of a letter to the editor from a Steve Paulsen of Collingwood Park.
In a disgraceful example of dirty tricks, the letter had an unauthorised QT logo on the top of it.
The QT has seen an image of the letter and has informed Mr Dodrill that this newspaper is disgusted by the attack on him in such a way.
The QT does not suggest that Mr Paulsen is involved in any way.
The attack sheet against Ms Silver states that her funds come from taxpayers and is authorised by someone in Henty Drive, Redbank Plains who lives in a complex with one hundred units, so an address can't be traced.
Ms Silver is an ALP member but she has made it clear that her campaign is self-funded and not funded by the Labor Party or any other organisation.
