Heartbreak changes to happiness

LOVING parents saved the day when bride Sarah Lemon and her husband-to-be Nick Pratt received some bad news close to their wedding day.

Every bride knows how much planning goes into making their day special and the reception venue is crucial to the success of the celebration.

But not everything goes to plan, and sometimes that's a good thing.

"Our original venue cancelled on us two months prior to the wedding," Sarah said of the February 11 nuptials this year.

"So my parents came to the rescue offering their home to us and I couldn't have imagined it any other way.

"It was the most magical day and I never could have dreamed of our day being so perfect.

"Everything happens for a reason."

So a total of 70 guests welcomed the new Mr and Mrs Pratt at the home of Don and Christine Lemon in Maleny.

The all-white wedding saw everyone including the guests wearing their best white attire.

"It was so refreshing on a hot summer's day but it also made for some beautiful photos," Sarah said.

Casey Jane Photography captured the special moments of the big day.

The couple, who "met in the sky" while both were working at Qantaslink, spent their honeymoon skiing in New Zealand.

They are living in Annerley in Brisbane.
