Hair-raising day at salon
WHEN customers arrived at Lauder Hair and Beauty yesterday, they must have wondered if their haircut was going to be a trick or treat.
Staff at the Goodna hair salon had decided to celebrate Halloween by dressing up in costume and offering free cuts.
Hair stylists serviced their clients dressed as vampires, zombies, devils and Natalie Portman from the film Black Swan.
Dressed as a swashbuckling pirate, salon owner Susan Lauder said the Halloween event was a fun way to celebrate the spooky holiday and promote the business.
"It was a busy day, the phones were going crazy with people wanting to make appointments once word got out," she said.
"We had a whole bunch of Halloween chocolates and candy on hand though, so we just rode the sugar high all day."
Staff at the salon were cutting like crazy from 9am to 9pm.
The hair studio opened its doors five months ago as an extension of the beauty salon.
