90-year-old man charged in live baiting scandal
A 90-YEAR-OLD greyhound trainer has become the latest person charged for serious animal cruelty in relation to his alleged role in the live baiting scandal.
Glasshouse Mountains trainer Raymond James Gatti had his charge heard this week at Ipswich Magistrates Court.
The offence allegedly took place in Churchable on August 22 last year.
The matter was adjourned to August 26.
Gatti was banned from greyhound racing by the Queensland All Codes Racing Industry Board on April 28.
As a consequence, his greyhounds have been disqualified from competition and were required to do three supervised trials in order to return to racing in the future.
