Grandparents get a taste of fun at kindy

THEY say grandparents relive childhood through their grandchildren.

That proved true at C&K Camira Community Kindergarten this week, as the venue hosted its Grandparent's Day celebrations.

The annual event brought the kindergarten children and their grandparents together to make crafts, sing songs and read stories.

Part-time teacher-director of the kindy Glenda Turner said the day was something the children and grandparents always looked forward to.

"The event is dress-up themed as well," she said. "The kids start the day by giving their granparents a tour of the facility.

"Grandparents play an important role in families and we like to acknowledge and encourage that relationship."
