GET shopping and grab your City Pride entry forms - today is the official start of the Queensland Times campaign City Pride.

Any goods or services purchased at participating businesses until August 31 will make you eligible to enter the competition for the chance to win a share of $11,000 in prizes.

The prize will be split into three separate gift wallets each worth $2750, $2750 and $5500 and will be spent back into local businesses.

Simply fill out an entry form and mail it to the QT before the entry deadline and keep your receipt safe to be eligible.

Purchases can be made at more than 370 participating businesses, which will be decked out with the City Pride logo and merchandise during August.

Winners will be drawn on August 15, August 22 and September 5 and published in the QT.

City Pride encourages residents to spend locally to help support employment and businesses in Ipswich City.

QT general manager Mike Dorey said the campaign would not have been possible without its sponsors.

Ipswich City Council and University of Southern Queensland are foundation sponsors of the campaign.

Major sponsors include Ipswich Riverlink Shopping Centre, Ipswich Events Corporation and Redbank Plaza Shopping Centre.

Sponsors also include Booval Fair Shopping Centre, Brassall Shopping Centre and the campaign is supported by Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry and radio station River 94.9.
